JP & The Dhvani, fronted by Burton-raised Ethan Owen, have released a new single today, Friday 3 July.
Without You was engineered, mixed, produced and co-written by Wes Burton, and mastered by Will Freed. Its release is accompanied by the group’s first music video, also out this morning.
JP & The Dhvani is based in London, but singer and songwriter Ethan (aka ‘Jonathan Patel’) has roots in Burton, and was a big part of the performing arts while studying at Abbot Beyne School in Winshill. I have a particularly fond memory of playing drums at one school show as Ethan sang a great cover of Sinatra’s New York, New York!
Without You was recorded at London’s Fish Factory Studios earlier this year. Alongside Ethan, the track features Sam Lucas (drums and percussion), Wes Burton (bass, electric guitar and background vocals), Sam Murray-Smith (electric guitar, as well as engineer), Philip Loveday (Rhodes), Ciça Moreira (background vocals) and Sherene Chan (background vocals).
The band released their debut EP, Out of My Mind, in July 2023.
