It was week two of the Burton & District Clubs Snooker League last week. In the Newton Fallowell Premier League, Alrewas B continued their good start to the season, beating Potter B 5-3 in a close game on the night that was swung by a good win for Wayne Pereira who beat Steve Ayre 2 frames to 0, both going down to the wire.
In Woodville E’s match versus Belmont A, Andy Granger had two excellent breaks – one of 80 and one of 62 – easing past Graham Stevens 2-0 on the night. Simon Shilton and Mick Buckland also both won 2-0 on the night.
In iCars Ltd Division 1, Burton Cons B continued their unbeaten start to the season with a convincing 6-2 win over Stapenhill A. There were also heavy 7-1 wins for Ivanhoe C and SpotOn A, who both climb the Table and will both be challenging for promotion at the end of the season.
Meanwhile in Nicholas Humphreys Division Two, both Potters F and SpotOn C continued their winning start with convincing wins of 7-1 and 5-3, leading the way from Burton Cons D who lie in third place.
Early days in all divisions but a competitive start to all leagues.
