The Waterloo brings derelict beer garden to life

The area is now ready to welcome friends, families and visitors.

Since taking over The Waterloo in February this year, our goal has always been to bring the love back to a traditional Burton pub with a rich history and strong community spirit.

We knew it would take plenty of hard work, passion, and investment to make The Waterloo a place people would be proud to call their local once again. One of our first major projects has been the transformation of the space behind the pub into a welcoming, family-friendly beer garden.

Complete with lawn games for children, plenty of comfortable seating and private booth areas for groups to relax and enjoy, the new outdoor space offers something for everyone.

What was once a neglected and derelict patch has been given a whole new lease of life, and is now ready to welcome friends, families and visitors to enjoy those long summer days and evenings with us.

We’re incredibly proud of the transformation and can’t wait to see the beer garden become a vibrant hub for the community throughout the summer and beyond.

The Waterloo Inn, 50 Ashby Road, is open 6.30-11.30pm Monday-Thursday, Friday 2pm-midnight, Saturday 12-midnight and 12-10pm on Sunday.
