Animal lovers are being invited to step behind the scenes at Vets at Bretby for a fun and informative free Open Day on Sunday 26th October from 11am to 4pm. The event will take place at the practice’s home in Planters Garden Centre, Bretby, and promises a day packed with activities for pets, families, and anyone with a love for animals.
Visitors will be able to explore the practice through guided tours, offering a rare chance to see how the veterinary team works and to meet the dedicated professionals who care for pets in the community. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and share advice about animal health and wellbeing.
Children and families can enjoy animal handling sessions led by the Planters Garden Centre pet team, giving everyone the opportunity to get up close to some fascinating creatures. The In Stride Veterinary Physiotherapy team will also be present to discuss physiotherapy and rehabilitation for pets, offering guidance on keeping animals active and healthy.
Dogs visiting on the day can take part in paw print art and enjoy the doggy Photo Booth, perfect for creating a fun keepsake. Every visitor will also receive a free toy for their cat or dog to take home.
Local rescue organisations including Wonky Pets, Broken Souls, and Harvey’s Army will join the event with stalls, games, and demonstrations. Weather permitting, there will even be a thermal drone demo showcasing how technology is helping animal rescue efforts.
