A moving evening of music, reflection, and community spirit will take place on Friday 7th November, as Branston Town Council hosts its Festival of Remembrance Concert at John Taylor Free School.
The event promises to be an unforgettable occasion, bringing residents together to honour those who have served and sacrificed for their country. Doors open at 6.30pm with welcome drinks, and the concert will begin at 7.30pm.
Funds raised through ticket sales will go directly to the Mayor’s Charity, Help for Heroes, supporting veterans and their families.
The Ibstock Brick Brass Band will lead the evening’s music, creating a stirring atmosphere of remembrance. Audiences can also look forward to performances from Monica Holton, Stacey Jackson, and Martin the Bagpiper, alongside a graceful dance presentation by Sophie and Lois from the Foot Fusion School of Dance.
Adding to the sense of occasion, the Staffordshire Corps of Drums will display a collection of military vehicles at the school entrance before performing a powerful Drum Head Ceremony. During this ceremony, the Book of Remembrance will be laid, followed by a service of reflection led by Rev Dave Collier of St Saviour’s Church.
