The Burton Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is inviting local people to visit the Baitus Saboor Mosque in Winshill during their open days on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October 2025, from 2pm to 5pm.

The mosque, on Highbank Road (DE15 0HU), is a former Methodist church which became home to the community in March 2024. The Ahmadiyya Muslim community has been part of Burton for more than 60 years, but until last year had never had a dedicated mosque in the town.
We look forward to welcoming everyone into our mosque. Come and share food and ideas with us, because through understanding we find peace and friendship. – Aamir Sikander, Vice President of the Burton Ahmadiyya Muslim Association
As part of Visit My Mosque Day, guests will be offered a guided tour, an opportunity to take part in discussions, and enjoy free Fairtrade refreshments including tea and coffee. Exhibits will also highlight the importance of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Since establishing their new mosque, the Burton Ahmadiyya community has been active across the town, raising money for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support and Burton and Derby Hospital Cold Cots, as well as joining Community Action Days and regular litter picks at Winshill and the Washlands.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a worldwide movement founded in 1889, now established in over 200 countries with tens of millions of members. Its guiding motto is “Love for All, Hatred for None.”
