Sonic Boom is excited to announce the launch of our pilot Artist Development Programme, SPARK, supporting four original emerging solo or duo acts from Burton upon Trent and the surrounding area.
The programme is designed to help artists grow their careers, build real connections, and develop both creatively and professionally.

Hosted by Sonic Boom Music CIC and delivered in partnership with members of the local music community alongside regional and national collaborators, this programme puts emerging talent at the centre.

- Who is it for?
Original solo or duo artists of any genre who are passionate about growing, learning, and taking their next steps in music. - What does “emerging artist” mean?
This refers to anyone in the early stages of developing their career; regardless of age or how long they’ve been making music. If you feel you’ve got more to learn and want support in moving forward, we want to hear from you. - How often will it happen?
We aim to meet monthly in person (venue TBC) from January 2026, with informal online meetings and check-ins in between. - I’m in a band – can I apply?
For this pilot we’re accepting solo and duo artists only, but we plan to offer a programme for bands and collectives in the future.
