Dawes to open at new over-21s bar

The new venue is designed “for those who appreciate exceptional wine”.

DJ and record producer Nathan Dawe continues to invest in Burton, his home town.

Cóvo House, his new “intimate over-21s Wine & Tapas bar” will open on Station Street on Monday 7 September, opposite Isabel’s restaurant and bar (in Isabel’s old site, in fact), which he opened in February.

If Cóvo House becomes half as popular as Isabel’s is now, it will be a success.

The new venue is designed “for those who appreciate exceptional wine, Mediterranean tapas grazing and a relaxed atmosphere”.

Whether you’re meeting friends for pre-drinks, looking for a few small plates to graze on, or winding down after a night elsewhere in town, Cóvo House is designed for exactly that.

A lot of work has been taking place at the site over recent weeks, and Nathan unveiled the “highly anticipated” wine list at the end of August, put together by bar manager Scott. This includes a ‘wine compass’ for those, Nathan jokes, who don’t know their wine “inside out, like me”!

Cóvo House will be open seven days a week for walk-ins only.
