Care provider hosting free coffee morning in Burton today

Organisers hope the event will be “informative and beneficial”.

Radis Community Care, a leading care provider, is hosting a free event for over 65s, providing the community with the opportunity to learn more about the care services available to them in and around Burton.

The Golden Age event is being hosted at Red Lion House Community Centre in Horninglow between 10am and 12pm today, Wednesday 24 June.

As well as offering free tea, coffee and cake to those in attendance, the event will showcase the services available in the local area.

Radis Community Care is bringing together local services, businesses and charities to help support the community, including Specsavers Home Hearing and Eye Tests, ICare Cuisine: Meals on Wheels, Dovebourne Care Home and Murrays Funeral Directors.

Pirelli Community Hub provides a range of activities and clubs on a weekly basis, and will be attending the event to encourage the local community to keep active and to increase their social activities.

Cassandra Cobley, service manager at Radis Community Care, said that “whether people require care now, are forward planning or simply seeking a morning to meet like-minded people, we hope this event is informative and beneficial”.

The event has been organised to showcase the care provider’s multiple services, informing people of the options available to them as they reach their golden years.
