A Burton-based artist is making waves both locally and nationally through a unique blend of creativity, collaboration and community spirit.
Tania Kerr, a multi-disciplinary artist and founder of Yvie’s Imaginarium, is transforming everyday materials into extraordinary creations. Her studio in Burton is where the magic begins, producing handmade mixed-media pieces ranging from art dolls to imaginative creatures. But her influence stretches far beyond the studio walls.
Tania regularly travels across the country to showcase her work at specialist events and fairs. Each piece she creates is a one-of-a-kind expression, and every event becomes a chance to connect with others who share a love for the creative arts.
Despite her travels, Tania remains deeply rooted in Staffordshire. She works with local agencies, businesses and community groups to deliver engaging workshops, public installations and hands-on projects that bring people together. Her belief in creativity as a shared experience has led to collaborations that spark confidence and open up important conversations.
In 2022, Tania founded the Burton Creative Fellowship, an online community where creatives of all kinds come together to share opportunities, offer support and celebrate local talent. From writers and designers to musicians and makers, the group is a growing hub of encouragement and inspiration for anyone involved in the arts.
Together with her husband, Tania also helps organise markets and fairs offering free trading space to local makers and small businesses. These events focus on more than just selling products. They’re about building confidence, providing visibility and creating welcoming spaces for creative people to shine.
